button week 002.jpgFirst grade students at Brookside Elementary in Springville have been celebrating Button Week this past week. Button Week fun unit to be as a review of all the math skills the students have learned all year, such as: graphing, data collection, adding, subtracting, skip counting, place value and so forth. Each day the students try to wear as many buttons as possible and then they graph the amounts. Omega 4.jpgFirst grade students at Brookside Elementary have been studying other cultures. One of the cultures they learned about was Japan. Omega Martial Art studio came and demonstrated the different martial arts of Japan. The students were very enlightened. Thanks Omega!

High School Friends

HS books.jpgStudents from Mr. Hendrick's class at Springville High School came to Brookside Elementary to read books they created and wrote to Mrs. Ewing's first grade class. The first grade students also got to share books they have published with their new high school friends.

census.jpgMrs. Collete Jeff's sixth grade class at Brookside Elementary School in Springville, got the school excited about the Census 2010. They went around to the classes and helped the students fill out a school census. According to the school census PE is the favorite subject and pizza is the favorite lunch meal at Brookside Elementary.
