Body Safety Presentation

Submitted by susan.bird on

Brookside was lucky to get some great presenters from Prevent Child Abuse Utah to come and teach the kids about being safe! The younger kids got to meet Safetysaurus and the older kids got to play some games with the instructors, and did so great! We're excited to have knowledgeable instructors teaching our kids how to stay safe! For more information about the program, and how you can help your kids stay safe, go to pcautah.org

Loose Change for Food

Submitted by susan.bird on

The second grade are doing their annual service project, Loose Change for Food.  They will be collecting loose change starting today, May 13 through Friday, May 17.  Why are they doing this?  The second grade social studies core asks them to identify and participate in a local civic activity.  They will be donating they earn to the loocal food bank. Each dollar they earn streches to more than two for the food bank.  For example, if they earn $200 then the food bank can buy $500 worth of food.  They will aslo be practicing math skill
