Sargent Stokes, Mckenzi’s uncle, came to tell Mrs. Andrews’ class about working in the army. He showed us all his gear. It is very heavy.

Brookside Praise Note Students For November 8, 2019

Flor Assis helped a classmate with their project, Jacky Garcia stuck with her math problems until she understood, Walter Sainsbury kindly reminded another boy to do something, Bridger Pinnell was kind to Logan and asked him to play at recess, Talia Sroufe helped classmates with their projects, Damien Webster did a great job of telling someone, "Dude, don't crush my ships" which he learned at our assembly this week.

Friend Friday - Mrs. Dana Beckert

Our Friend today is Mrs. Dana Beckert.  We are lucky to have Mrs. Beckert here leading our school.  She has a huge heart and wants what is best for everyone at the school, student, teacher and parent.  She came to us three years ago and has made this school so much better. We love Mrs. Beckert!

On the weekend, Mrs. Beckert loves to go hiking or spend time with family

Fourth Grade Attends the Symphony

Brookside’s 4th graders attended Salem Hills High on Monday, October 28. They got to see the Utah Symphony perform. The highlight of the performance was when the symphony played a selection from one of the Harry Potter movies.

Don't Crush My Chips by Dr. Hank Smith

Brookside was lucky to have an assembly today by Dr. Hank Smith. He started by talking about making good and bad choices. Giving many examples of what a good choice is.  He told the students that if you want to have a successful life, it’s up to the choices we make. If we want to have a happy life, it’s up to our choices.

Teacher Tuesday - Mrs. Tautu

Mrs. Caroline Tautu is one of our amazing first grade teachers. You can always count on her to have a smile on her face and a positive attitude.  We are lucky to have this beloved teacher working here at Brookside. 

On the weekend, Mrs. Tautu loves to spend time with her husband Austin and their  families. They like to go to the gym, relax at home, go on hikes with their dog Kona and go out to eat with their friends!
