Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Hill

Submitted by susan.bird on

Our next spotlight is Mrs. Lexi Hill.  We are so excited to add Mrs. Hill to our first grade team. Mrs. Hill has worked at Brookside for 5 years as a technician and she is so happy to finally be able to be a teacher here.  Mrs. Hill is loved by all the students and staff at Brookside.

On the weekend, Mrs. Hill loves to spend time outdoors with friends and family.

If she could have lunch with any fictional character it would be Junie B. Jones .

Fourth Grade Veteran's Day

Submitted by susan.bird on

Miss Bradford’s class is shown writing letters for veterans on Veteran’s day.

Addie Thatcher and Ayva Haglund have family members that served in the military.  Addie is shown holding a brass casing that was shot during a 21 gun salute for her grandfather.  Ayva is holding a piece of shrapnel from a bomb that exploded close to her father while serving overseas.

Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Rands

Submitted by susan.bird on

Here is our next teacher spotlight.  Mrs. Shaina Rands is our newest second grade teacher.  This is her official first year of teaching, but she interned.  Did you know that Mrs. Rands was at Brookside two years ago.  She was in an intern program at UVU and got to spend a couple days of each week in Miss White’s classroom.  We are so excited to welcome her back to Brookside!

What do you love to do on the weekend? Visit with family and friends, preferably in nature somewhere.

Mrs. Larsen's Kindergarten class has been learning the Humpty Dumpty Nursery Rhyme. On Friday they did their best to soften their own egg/Humpty Dumpty's fall from a block wall. What a group of smart, fabulous students!

And the winner is....drum roll, please...the girls!!! Another physical challenge in Miss Bradford’s class.  It was girls against the boys, and the girls held-out the longest, doing the side plank. Way to go, girls!!!
