Every term, Mrs. Beckert brings the students together for an active learning assembly. Last term, the students learned about determination and being self-aware. This term the students are learning and practicing asking questions and wondering. Mrs. Beckert talked about what asking questions and wondering does for us. There are three things: deepening understanding, increasing our ability to solve problems and to create meaning. She taught the students that when they come to a problem they need to see, think and wonder. Then they can make an inference or find a solution to their problem. We encourage our students to be active learning and when they see, think and wonder it will increase ability to solve problems. Thanks, Mrs. Beckert, for helping us become better learners.
