Friends Friday - Mrs. Tolley

Submitted by susan.bird on

Mrs. Tolley is our art teacher.  She comes up with some pretty fantastic art projects.  She works with every student in the school, teaching them techniques, vocabulary, forms of art and much more.  Thanks for all your hard work!

On the weekend, Mrs. Tolley loves to watch a  movie or read a book.  She loves to go out and hike, but she also loves spending a weekend watching college football.  (Ask Mrs. Tolley who her favorite teams are!)

She would choose to have lunch with Emma from Jane Austin.

Who was your favorite teacher and why? Miss Orton--junior high English teacher.  She just made reading and writing fun--maybe because she was really easy to get off topic!

If Mrs. Tolley was given a $1000 she would go on a vacation. (I wonder where her top choice would be?)

What song would you sing at Karaoke night? I Will Survive-Gloria Gaynor

Who or what inspires you? The beauty of the world, and the beautiful people in the world.

Memory of school:I remember my favorite art project ever was ruined when my  family moved from Utah to Kansas! And I loved reading--I checked out Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes over and over and over!”

What is your favorite thing to teach every year?I love teaching some of the harder art concepts and seeing the understanding come on in a student’s eyes when they get it!

What is the BEST thing about your job?Watching kids express themselves through art!”
