We are excited for our Red Ribbon Week this week! Thank you to Emily Peterson and our PTA for planning Spirit Days and activities that remind us to stay drug free. Here are the Spirit Day Themes for the week:

Monday: Proud to be 100% DRUG-FREE!

  • Wear lots of red & your wristband.

Tuesday: Use your head—Don't use drugs!

  • Wear crazy hair or a crazy hat.

Wednesday: Be on the drug-free team!

  • Wear your favorite team's shirt or jersey.

Thursday: Say BOO to drugs & alcohol!

  • Wear your Halloween costume.

Friday: Brookside Tigers choose to be Drug Free!

  • Wear your Brookside school shirt.

Also, our Halloween parades will be on Thursday, October 31st. AM kindergarten’s parade will begin at 9:15am Thursday morning. The parade will be down the main hall for all to see. Then at 2:30pm, on the blacktop, our 6th grade students will perform “Thriller” for the parents. At 2:40pm the parade for PM kindergarten and 1st-6th grades students will begin on the playground. After the parade, 6th grade students will perform “Thriller” again for the students. Thank you to the PTA for helping us set up for the parade. Please remember to park in the school’s parking lots and not in Ream’s parking lot. Thank you so much!

Have a great evening!
