They worked all game to get on the big screen.  And finally, in the fourth period, they made it! It was a fun break to celebrate all the hard work the fifth graders have been doing.

Discovery Gateway Visited Fifth Grade

Submitted by susan.bird on

Last week the fifth graders had a visit from Discovery Gateway Museum to learn a little about chemistry and chemical changes. Students listened and learned from a presenter and then they tried some experiments. In the first experiment, they tried to discover what white power would fizz when water was added. Then they turned cabbage juice pink or blue the back to purple. Thank you, Discovery Gateway for the fun experience.

Wax Museum

Submitted by susan.bird on

The fifth graders held their wax museum on Monday.  They were asked to choose a famous American that they wanted to learn about.  The students were required to read a biography about their person and take notes on them.  Then, they wrote a speech about them.  Finally, students dressed up as their person and became their wax statue.  The school and parents were invited to their wax museum to learn about these famous people.  These fifth graders worked so hard and did an amazing job.  We are so proud of them!
