Place Value

Submitted by susan.bird on

In Miss Bird’s fifth grade class, they are studying place value.  They are learning about multiplying and dividing powers of ten.  When you do this, you move the decimal point the number of zeros in the power of 10.  In this lesson, they were using a skittle to move the decimal in the number.

Rounding

Submitted by susan.bird on

Mrs Andrews’s class practiced our rounding skills today by moving around the room. We took frequent stops to sanitize as we moved.

Mask Break

Submitted by susan.bird on

MASK BREAK. We haven’t let this pandemic stop us!  We have gotten creative in how we are teaching our students. This is a great example. Mr. Anderson decided to take his students outside for a lesson. Covid hasn’t stopped him or his class from enjoying the day.
