Dear Parents,

I just wanted to make you aware of a change on the calendar  -- Our 4th-6th grade choir concert will be December 7th instead of December 5th as originally planned. This has been updated on the school google calandar. The choir will meet to practice on the morning of the 6th, Thursday, at 8:00 am and then the concert will be on Friday, December 7th, at 4:00. Students who are participating in the choir were given a flyer this morning with the change of date.

In Music class, these fifth graders earned some lessons on the ukuleles.  Mrs. Fitzgerald taught the students how to place their hands and play the notes.  The students loved learning this and playing the instruments.

Kindergarteners had a blast learning about Native Americans.  They made their own beads, ground corn, ate cornbread, shot bows and arrows.   This is one of their favorite days.

Mrs. Graves, class celebrated before the Thanksgiving break. First, the students had a blast Playing Turkey Charades to get prepared for all of the turkey and festivities!

They had a turkey gobbling contest. Caroline was our officially turkey gobbler award winner. We did our voting “The Voice” style.

And finally, on Tuesday they had to say goodbye to Mrs. Bird. She was our much loved student teacher, Mrs. Bird’s, last day. We will miss her like crazy!  We wish her the best of luck and know that wherever she lands, she will be an amazing teacher! Good luck, Mrs. Bird.

Our class earned a Read-a-thon day! We brought our favorite books, blankets and pillows.  We also wore our pajamas. We had a great day diving into our books!

Mrs.  Hall's class had some visitors before Thankgiving. Their bus driver, Tony, and his wife Carol came to our classroom to play some country songs! Their group is called Many Strings. The kids loved it!
