We have an amazing PTA!  They spoiled up this week with so many amazing treats, posters, messages and lunch. The theme for the week was "Thank you for helping our students Raise the Bar!"  We were treat with a different "bar" each day. On Monday, we were treated to a bagel and yogurt breakfast bar.  On Tuesday, we had a trail mix bar. It was a soda bar on Wednesday and a treat bar on Thursday.  Friday, we had a Nacho bar with a fabulous lunch!  Thank you to everyone that helped make this week so special. Mrs. Hall’s class learned about frogs. Miss Shoemaker brought her Pac-Man frog named Vonk!

Students in Miss White’s  and Mrs. Smith's classes are learning how to calculate the formula for volume of rectangular prisms. They spent time this week measuring and calculating the volume for various boxes of household goods. What a fun hands on math project!

Our fourth grade students learned about storm water and how to keep our storm drains clean.  The students were taught about what items natural items and toxic items to clean up and make sure they stay away from our drains. We learn to clean up after our animals, sweep up our grass clippings, wash our cars on the grass so the soap doesn't go down our storm drains and it our lakes. Our presenter reminded us if we keep our drains cleaned, we will keep our lakes clean.

Mrs. Larsen’s full day kindergarten class enjoyed exploring the difference between gummy worms and earth worms in their unit about living and nonliving things.

Miss Susie Bird is teaching fourth grade this year.  She is in her seventeenth year of teaching and has also taught fifth grade and sixth grade.  Susie is a good coworker.  She is always trying to help others, listen when they need it and provide advice if they are seeking it.  She loves teaching and is enjoying her fourth graders this year.&nbsp

These fifth  graders were dissecting owl pellets in their science class.  They are learning about energy sources in a food chain.
