Spirit Friday

This past week was our Red Ribbon week. We had lots of fun with all the dress up days to help us be drug and bully free. There were a lot of activities happening all week. There was a donut eating contest, guess the candy in jars, a door decorating contest and a whole lot more.

We kicked off the week with an assembly featuring Chief Haight, Officer Van Pelt and K-9 Officer Hank. We learned a lot about how to stay safe. We also got to wear our pajama to remind us to “WAKE UP” drug free. We also received our bracelets where we wrote pledges to remind us to be drug and bully free.

Tuesday’s dress up day was to wear mustaches. Our theme was We “MUSTACHE” ask you to be drug free. There was also a donut eating contest at lunch which kids and teachers loved!

Wednesday’s theme was it’s CRAZY to do drugs. We asked to dress up with crazy everything. We had crazy hair, crazy shoes and some backward clothes. The winners to the candy jar challenge was announced. Congratulation to those winners who loved their candy jars!

Thursday reminded us that we are too SMART to do drugs. Students were encouraged to dress like teachers and teachers to dress like students. The winners to the door decorating contest was announced. Congratulations to the first place winner: Mrs. Knoebel's class!

Friday was spirit day. “Drugs are SCARY.  I’m RED-y to say NO to drugs. We were asked to wear orange, red and black.

We want to give a huge shout out and Thank you to Mrs. Stacy Conrad and her committee for all of their hard work. It was a blast!
