Mr. Gregg Crockett joined our Brookside family last year. He works as our facilitator. This position requires many hats. He instructs and helps teachers, mentors our interns and newer teachers, helps coordinate student teachers, helps our technicians, figures out and coordinates our many, many schedules, and most importantly, works with and helps our students.
Mr. Crockett grew up in Orem, UT. He is the youngest of 5 boys and no girls. He now has 4 wonderful sisters because they married his brothers. He and his wife have been married for 6 years and they have 2 kids. Clara is 5 and Ryker is 2.
Mr. Crockett attended Orem High School. He has Bachelor's degree from BYU, a masters degree from SUU and his Administration from UVU.
He enjoys traveling, reading and running-and other sports. He has been a clogger for over 35 years of his life. He is amazing. He loves to be outdoors and in Disneyland. He can’t wait for the next trip out there-hopefully next summer.
What are you looking forward to most about this school year? “I am looking forward to a wonderful year with wonderful teachers/staff and students. I feel better acquainted with everyone and feel I know a little more of what I should be doing. Hoping to do those things to the best of my ability. I'm also excited to help our school culture grow.”
What do you love about your job? “I love working with my mentee teachers and the rest of the staff. I love the smiling faces of students as I enter the classrooms in the school. Kids really make it worth it to do this job.”

What is something no one may know about you?
- I got married just before turning 38.
- I haven't watched or read any of the twilight books.
- I have performed for President Bush and also the President of the Ukraine in 2002.
- Dancing paid for my college tuition
Mr. Crockett says, “I love the teaching profession. I love our students. I love to tell stories and read books aloud to do fun voices. There are so many moments in teaching through a student "getting it" or their smiles and laughter, or saying something off the way, that make teaching the greatest job on the planet.”
