Mrs. Jasmine Weier and family

We have a whole new second grade team this year and those students are lucky to have such great teachers.  One of these amazing teachers is Mrs. Jasmine Weier.  We are excited to get to know Mrs. Weier and see all her amazing ideas.  Welcome to our Brookside family!

This year is Jasmine’s seventh year of teaching, but it is her first time in second grade. While she has spent most of her career in the upper grades, she is excited for this new adventure. Mrs. Weier graduated from BYU in 2016 with her Bachelors in Elementary Education and two minors (Tesol K-12 and Music).

Jasmine is from a tiny town in Wisconsin and is the baby of seven kids. She is very close to her three older sisters and her mom, and they talk on a daily basis. She is the only one in her family who doesn’t live within a 15-minute radius of her childhood home. Her husband, Josh, works for the BYU Football team as an equipment manager. They have two children: Jace, 7, who attends Brookside, and Janey, 3. She also has one on the way. Outside of school, she loves reading and watching movies on Disney+ with her kids. Her family loves taking vacations back to Wisconsin to see family and cousins.

  • What are you looking forward to most about this school year? “We are expecting our third baby in early December! We are excited to be adding another boy to our crazy mix!”
  • What do you love about your job?  “I love working with kids! I love seeing the “aha” moments when kids finally understand something. I love seeing the big smiles when students reach a big accomplishment or goal”
  • Share your favorite quote. “A day without laughter is a day wasted.” -Charlie Chaplin
  • What is something no one may know about you? “When I was 6, I followed my genius cousin’s plan to jump off a garage roof onto a trampoline. I broke my leg in 2 places and had a full-leg cast on for 2 months, even for my 7th birthday!”
  • Is there anything else you would like parents and/or students to know about you? “I’m excited to be part of the Brookside family!”
