The entire second grade gets to participate in a project about Flat Stanley. We start by reading the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown. We talk about all the different places Flat Stanley could go and then the kids find out that they will be sending out their own Flat Stanley to their friends or family around the country or the world. We sent out our Flat Stanleys two weeks ago and today we (Miss Harmon's class) received our first gift from one of the Flat Stanleys who is visiting New York. Flat Stanley and his host, hand wrote "I love NY" postcards to each person in our class. We can't wait to see what all of our Flat Stanleys bring back to Brookside in the coming days and weeks.
