Tumbleweed Film Festival is the kid-friendly part of the Sundance Film Festival. Third grade students from Brookside Elementary attended the Animated Shorts program. They were able to see several short animated films from around the world. Most of these films had little to no words. After viewing the films, students were able to analyze and learn about the creative process animators go through with a professional animator. He taught them some of the elements to look for in animation and answered questions. After the film festival, they enjoyed lunch at Scera Park and played on the playground.
