Who Is This New Teacher At Brookside?

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with my three siblings and parents. I am the aunt to two nieces, who just started Kindergarten, and two nephews, one who just started preschool and another who was born at the beginning of August. I love to be with my family and make fun memories with them. I recently was married to my husband Tyler Willis. We just moved this summer to Utah so my husband can go to school at BYU.

Some of the things that I love to do are swim, read, travel, watch sports, and go on adventures. This summer I had the opportunity to see Mayan ruins in Mexico and it was amazing! I have also loved traveling to Thailand and around Europe.

I graduated from Brigham Young University where I earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in TESOL. My first year teaching I taught first grade at Riverview Elementary School in Spanish Fork. After my first year I moved back to Arizona to teach and be closer to my family. For the past three years I taught first grade at Kyrene de la Estrella Elementary School in Phoenix. After choosing to return to Utah I was very excited to be given the opportunity to teach first grade for my fifth year once again in the Nebo School District. I can't wait to make many great memories at Brookside Elementary!
