We have been lucky at Brookside to have amazing individuals working here and being part of our family. We have four of these individual retiring this year. 

Dana Beckert, principal

Mrs. Beckert is an amazing leader, example and friend. She is an advocate for learning and loves a good quote. She is always out and about, talking with students, teachers and parents, getting to know them and showing that she cares about them. We hope that she know what a difference she has made. 

We had Masons mom, Lee Kentjana Putra come and teach us about New Zealand and the Maori people. It was so much fun! We learned the stick dance too.

The Forest Service and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources stocked Salem Pond full of fish so kids with special needs all over Utah County could catch some fish and have a great day outside!

Utah State Board of Education School Meals Updates

What is happening?
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) waiver that provided free meals to students is expiring at the end of the school year in June 2022.

This means that school meals will no longer automatically be free for everyone and you will need to submit an application to qualify for free/reduced breakfast and lunch.

Darla received the PTA award for her work as the staff PTA representative. Her enthusiasm and positivity have boosted our PTA involvement. She also has wonderful communication and note taking skills which help everyone work toward the same goals.
