Dear Parents,

It has been a great Monday here at Brookside. Teachers have been meeting, working, and preparing to begin home learning instruction on Wednesday. We are all still trying to figure out what this is going to look like, but our teachers are extremely capable and amazing. Thank you for your patience and support as we figure this out.

Tumbleweed Film Festival

Submitted by susan.bird on

Tumbleweed Film Festival is the kid-friendly part of the Sundance Film Festival. Third grade students from Brookside Elementary attended the Animated Shorts program. They were able to see several short animated films from around the world. Most of these films had little to no words. After viewing the films, students were able to analyze and learn about the creative process animators go through with a professional animator. He taught them some of the elements to look for in animation and answered questions.
