Teacher Tuesday - Mrs. Bird

We have a new third grade teacher this year, Mrs. Bird.  We are excited to have her here at Brookside.  She student taught here last year in fourth grade with Mrs. Graves.  Here are some fun things to know about Mrs. Bird. 

What do you love to do on the weekend: Spending time with her family.

She would love to have lunch with Harry Potter.

Who was Favorite teacher?  Why? Mrs. Larsen was my favorite teacher. She always made sure we had fun while learning.

If you were given a $1000 - what would you buy?  I would spend it at Disneyland. (Mrs. Bird is going to get along fabulously with her co-teacher, Mrs. Graves)

What song would you sing at Karaoke night?  Any country song

Mrs. Bird says that her mother inspires Her. Her mother has taught her to work hard, never give up, and to always stay positive.

Share a memory or two of school:  I always loved when our class went to the library and our librarian would read us scary stories for Halloween. I also remember doing fun projects for social studies in 5th grade.

What is your favorite thing to teach every year?  I love to teach students multiplication.

What is the best thing about your job?  I love seeing when students have that "ah ha" moment when learning.
