To celebrate Read Across America on Wednesday we focused on the book The Cat in the Hat. We asked the students to wear stripes or a hat. It was a fun day to see all the stripes and the fun hats.

We had the opportunity to have Mr. Todd Bradford, a district math specialist, come into classrooms this past week and work with students on various skills. In Miss Bird’s fifth grade, he came in to solidify adding and subtracting fractions. The students love when Mr. Bradford come in to teach. Thanks, Mr. Bradford for a great lesson!

March 2nd is National Read Across America Day & the birthday of Dr. Seuss! To celebrate reading, we will have some dress up days inspired by the beloved books by Dr. Seuss!
This will be February 25th – March 1st.
Kindergarten registration, traditionally held in March, will be moved to the summer and combined with grades 1st -12th. More detailed information regarding summer registration for K-6th will be sent out to you before the end of the school year.
Parents can prepare now for registering their kindergarten children by making sure they have a birth certificate and that their child is current on the following immunizations: DTap, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, Varicella and MMR by the end of July.
Today, February 21, 2019, our fifth and sixth graders had the opportunity to attend an engineering and technology fair put on by UVU. Students got to go to and participate in three stations. They could build a maze out of straws for a marble run, build a catapult, or make a bridge out of close pins, craft sticks and binder clips. They could could try out virtual reality, an Ozobot or program Finch Robots. They could learn about static electricity, build a tower out of cups without touching the cups, or try to balance a paper robot.
