Brookside PTA members, 

We hope you and your families are all doing well. With the soft closure of schools through the remainder of the school year, our members never got the chance to vote on PTA officers for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. In keeping with our bylaws, we'd like to open up the opportunity for anyone who would like to run for the following positions on the 2020-2021 Brookside PTA board:

The teachers at Brookside wanted to let their students know that we love them and we miss them!  We took some time on Tuesday and visited our student to deliver a sign and see our students.  You can see in the pictures how much we miss them and want to be with them. It was so fun to see our kiddos and to visit with them.  But, we were surprised as well.  Our students had signs, posters, air high fives, and gifts for us.  We had a really fun and fabulous time.

Dear Parents,

Happy Monday! I just wanted to remind you that teachers will be coming around to each house and putting a sign in the yard tomorrow, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Students are welcome to watch for their teachers and wave to them from their porches. We still need to abide by the social distancing guidelines but we are excited to see everyone.

Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce that our “poster forking” activity has been rescheduled. Teachers will be coming around to each house and putting a sign in the yard on Tuesday, April 28th, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Students are welcome to watch for their teachers and wave to them from their porches. We still need to abide by the social distancing guidelines but we are looking forward to connecting with everyone.

With the extension of the "soft closure" through the remainder of the school year, we are working to put a plan in place for students to come and get their belongings. As soon as we decide on the best way to do it and still follow the guidelines of social distancing, I will let you know.

Did you know that Nebo has an online library?  It's easy to use and acts just like a regular library.  Download the Sora App.  Then all the students need is their username and password that they use for their Chromebooks.  Check out the link below to get started.

Dear Parents,

Beginning Monday, April 13th, Grab-N-Go meal pick-up will change to 10:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is available for all children, ages 0-18. Grab-n- Go meals will still include both breakfast and lunch. Meal service will pause during Spring Break, April 6-10th. We appreciate our lunch staff and all their work to provide lunches for our community!

The  Great Utah ShakeOut Earthquake Drill is scheduled for April 16, 2020. The State is encouraging students and their families to participate in a home earthquake drill. More information can be found at www.shakeout.org/utah.
