It was festive today at Brookside where many work their best ugly sweaters.  We had the good, the bad and the ugly.  Its fun to see everyone get into the holiday spirit.  

Don't forget about our food drive!  Tomorrow's dress up is Mistletoes - wear some Christmas socks.

Today was a good day to wear our favorite Holiday Hat.  It is always fun to see all the different Santa hats, knit caps and all the other crazy holiday hats.

Don't forget about the canned food drive happening this week as well.  Bring the food to the barrels by the office.

We want to celebrate the Christmas spirit by participating in a canned and non-perishable food drive.  We will also be having a dress up week.  For the food drive, we will have bins by the front office from Monday, December 14 through Thursday, December 17.  Please consider donating to our food drive.

Our PTA is fabulous.  They were able to give a shirt to every student in our school thanks to some fabulous businesses for providing this for our school. We want to give a shout out to Johnson’s Tire Pros, Peterson Plumbing Supply, Reams Springville Market, Schouthen Orthodontics, Condie and Tuft Family Dentistry, Funfinity, BJC Construction, and Nebo Credit Union.  Thank you for doing such a great service to our school.  The students and staff love their shirts!

Today we have Bridger Pinnell in Miss Whites class, he has been working hard, listening and staying on task, Elizabeth Mattinson in Mr. Anderson's has been going out of her way to help others, Jazmine Pa'au in Mr Anderson has been working very hard in class and after school, and Quincee Welsch in Miss White's class wrote a nice card and notes to a student that got hurt this week.

Way to go students. We have been noticing all the hardwork and kind things you are doing here at Brookside.

Mrs. Pickering’s class works hard every month to reach their goal for a class reward. Last month they chose to work towards a game day! Today they brought board games, card games, and tablet games. Well deserved!

Mrs. Hallie Owens is one of our Special Education Technicians.  We are grateful for all she does to help our students to be their best.  We are lucky to have Mrs. Owens in our Brookside family.

On the weekend, Mrs. Owens loves to eat pizza and watch a movie with her family.

If she could have lunch with any fictional character, it would be: Anne Shirley - Anne of Green Gables 

We have a new school psychologist to help our students this year, Mrs. Erin Neth.  Mrs. Neth meets with students to work with them one and one.  She is doing a great job and we feel lucky to have her in our Brookside family.  One cool thing is that Mrs. Neth’s kids attend Brookside too. She wants us all to know that she is so excited to be here and loves getting to know the students. 

On the weekend, Mrs. Neth loves to hangout with her family.
