We have some great students to highlight this week: Drew Petersen is being a good friend to someone who needed a friend, Hadley Chappell picked up trash at recess, Leah Barker helped Kindergarteners down the slide and played with them, Amelia Bowers picked up trash at recess, Trey Giles turned inappropriate materials into a teacher, Emi Cruz was selfless when she helped a peer glue his entire haunted house, Cruz Solorio was on task during math groups, Ainsley Stewar
Today at Brookside, students and staff dressed up in their favorite sports attire. We had students representing every sport possible. We also learned about what it means to be a bully and we can help others to be kind to others.

Today students were especially bright as we learned about how to stay mentally healthy. Students dressed in neon colors. It was fun to see the bright colors throughout the school.

The students at Brookside were excited yesterday for the annual pumpkins from Jacker's Jack-o-Lanterns. We are so grateful that Jaker's donates a pumpkin to ever students. The kids at Brookside look forward to this every year and are so excited to receive their pumpkins.
Tuesday was Crazy Hair or Hat day. There were a lot of student who dressed up with crazy hair or wore their favorite hat. This was to remind us to use our heads when using the internet. It was a lot of fun to see the ideas these students came up with.
There is a lot of fun and learning happening in Mrs. Hall's class. First, Mrs.Hall’s class takes a field trip to Dutch Hall’s farm! And being that it's October the best science is learning all about pumpkins. Mrs. Hall’s class learned about the life cycle and parts of a pumpkin! Then they enjoyed a pumpkin cookie. Yum!

We are celebrating Ribbon week this week and today is red ribbon day. We learned the differences between medicine and drugs and how to make smart decisions. The theme was Walk Away From Drugs and students and staff wore crazy socks today.
