2018-19 yearbooks are on sale! The cost is $15.00 for 48 full color pages filled with school memories. You can pay with cash, check, or Venmo. Please make checks payable to "Brookside PTA". Venmo is BrooksidePTA. Please write "yearbook", your student's name, and your student's teacher's name on the memo line. Brookside Elementary May Newsletter 2019

Taylor Woodward is kind to everyone. She always makes sure her classmates are okay when they get hurt, Drew LeSueur is always on task and works hard on his assignments. Drew also always has a positive attitude, Etta Kmetzsch always has a positive attitude in class. Etta is always kind to everyone, Kera Patterson is always helping keep our classroom clean. She is also very kind to her classmates, Emma Rigtrup has been including others at recess.

The kindergarten had a fun day learning about nature.  We made bird feeders, played with worms, learned the parts of a flower and talked about forest animals.  Then we walked to the park for a fun time playing and eating lunch!

The fourth graders had their annual track meet on Wednesday, May 1.  We are so proud of all the fourth graders for their hard work. Congrats to all the winners!

On April 19, we held our annual Brooksdie PTA's fudraiser.  This year it was a run-a-thon.  Students collected donationas and then on the appointed date, went out and ran for thirty minutes.  The students did amazing and they had fun doing it.  Thank you PTA for all your hard work!

I love the tradition of the Fifth Grade Floats.  The students are assigned one of the fifty states.  They research their state and create a float to represent their state.  The students are so creative in their design and materials. All of the floats turned out amazing.  Great job, fifth graders.
