Mr. Anderson says, "Audrey Ethington has been working very hard in math and reading and Lydia Skinner is always on task and trying her best", Mrs. Smith says, "Olivia Slingerland is a helpful big sister to her little brother".

Mrs. Julie Karren is one of our wonderful technicians who work with our first and second graders in their LLI groups.  She helps these students with reading skills and comprehension and so much more. Welcome to the Brookside family!

On the weekend, Mrs. Karren loves spending time with my family and sleeping past 7am!

2021 Brookside Fundraiser - Read-a-thon - February 22nd-26th

From Monday Feb 22nd through Friday Feb 26th, have your child read as many many minutes as they can!  Students were given a form to keep track of all the minutes that they read each day (they can count their in-class reading as well!

This week for our praise notes we have Ryan Simonsen who has been positive with her classmates, Hadleigh Sorenson is great with working on a team, Avery Jolley is a great hard worker, Maddix Thatcher always does really good quality work on projects, Cooper Baker has been trying hard to manage his behavior and follow instructions, Josie Harding played a game with a classmate who needed someone to play with, Jaxden Seamons imporved his reading and math score on iReady,

Giant Squid

Our second graded practicing measuring this week.  Did you know that a Giant Squid is 59 feet long?  This line of 2nd graders is also 59 feet long!  Wow, those squids are enormous!!!
