Dear Parents,
February is off to a great start! Here are just a few reminders:
You should have received and email from the district regarding a stakeholders survey. This is an opportunity for stakeholders, namely parents, students, and other employees to give input concerning Nebo schools. I invite you to give your feedback about Brookside teachers and administrators. We value and welcome your feedback. Thank you!
Mason Wirfs is always helping when he can, Tyson Eves is a great friend to everyone, Logan Busby willing to share and does so happily!, Tyler Fay is writing neater, Reece Petersen has improved on paying attention, Kate Smith always does her best work, Quincee Welsch is willing to help out with a classmate when he needs it.

These students are awesome and did praiseworthy acts this week.
In the library this week we had a fun lesson on experimenting with different kinds of books. By sitting at a table with a group of 3-4 students, each student had a few minutes to sample each book at the table as if at a restaurant sampling different courses of a meal. There was a video of a fireplace going, soft music playing and Mrs. Olsen teaching about different kinds of books and what makes them appealing and enjoyable. The students loved the fun way the librarian brought the books to life for them for a day.
What a lot of fun we had at Brookside yesterday celebrating our 100 days of school.

Dear Parents,
At this time of year, we see an increase in student absences. As a school, we support your decision concerning sending your child to school or not. If your child is sick and contagious, we would encourage you to keep him/her home to accelerate the healing process and get better.
