Since we had to cancel our Splash Pad trip we played board games in the morning, had our lunch picnic style in our classrooms and watched “Lilo & Stitch” on our beach towels.

The Kindergarteners finished their first year of school! Many came to school uncertain but now they are confident little people. We had a successful graduation and we were able to perform some short class plays. Thanks to the parents for all they did to help us throughout the year! Good luck next year in 1st grade.
The kindergarteners ended their year with the Kindy 500. They all made their awesome cars at home and brought them for a parade through the hall. They they had a fun day filled with lots of car themed activities.

Noah Cardenas was very helpful at recess by picked up trash that was outside, Reece Petersen also helped pick up trash, Owen Rich walked his bike after school, and Lucy Jones helped out at recess to pick up more trash.

We had field day on Wednesday, May 15. The students had a blast playing all the games, getting wet and eating popsicles. The PTA did an amazing job organizing and running field day. This year they held the Olympics right here at Brookside. Each class made a flag to represent them (thank you Mrs. Tolley) and they carried them to each event. Mrs. Beckert ended the games by carrying an olympic torch and we circled the field. It was a blast. Thank you PTA for all your hard work!

Brookside was lucky to get some great presenters from Prevent Child Abuse Utah to come and teach the kids about being safe! The younger kids got to meet Safetysaurus and the older kids got to play some games with the instructors, and did so great!
