Mrs. Wright's 4th grade class has been having fun learning about the properties of water.  They learned that liquids can have different densities and that those with a heavier density will sink.  They also learned about adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension of water.

The kindergarteners were so excited to receive a backpack filled with school supplies that they could use at home.  These backpacks were donated by Mrs. Miner's family and were greatly appreciated.

Students in Miss White’s class worked in pairs this week to closely read a fiction narrative story together. They then were able to identify the characters, setting, problem and solution within the text.

Sawyer Grover is always willing to help another student with his work, Armando Hernadez makes sure that he is completing his assignments correctly, Cooper Creer was on task during silent reading, Talon Keith is working hard to stay on task during music, Lydia Kmetzsch helped a classmate when they wre stuck on a problem in math, Miles Anderson helped a new student login to imagine learning, Caleb Hylton is always happy and has a big smile on his face.

Miss Bird’s fifth graders have spent the last few days researching early explorers who discovered a part of the American content.  Working in groups, they researched, colored and presented their findings. Then, the class walked around the room learning about the other explorers.

Dear Parents,

Thank you to the volunteers who came to the Room Mother’s Tea this week. We appreciate our PTA all the work they do. 

Here are just a couple of reminders for this week:

• Monday, September 16th, is a district development day. Students will be dismissed at noon and there will be no AM or PM kindergarten. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

Nixon Young is always ready to learn and he always raises his hand, ready to answer questions, Claire Kirby is always on task and ready to learn, Shilo Boshell is kind and helpful to other students in class, Carson Christian always on task and working hard, Lincoln Tibbs holds the door for the entire 5th grade after the evacuation drill, Talia Sroufe makes sure everyone at her table has a chair every morning, Devon Levengood is a great friend.

We had a great second week in Mrs. Crandell's class! We learned about the importance of growth mindset all week and finished the week by doing a growth mindset escape the room where we put all our learning into practice!
