5th Grade Colony Balloon Fun!

Submitted by amber.hobbs on

The fifth graders were learning about the thirteen original colonies in social studies.  Students were asked to research a colony and then, together, as groups of two or three, they created a colony balloon and presented their findings to the class. They had so much fun and they turned out great!

Mrs. Hall's class was busy being good citizens at Brookside Elementary. They were contributing to making our school the best it can be. That shows a lot of Tiger proud and we appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to help out Brookside!

Visiting Mrs. Broussard's class

Submitted by alicia.rudd on
What a fun day to drop in on Mrs. Broussard. She was teaching students how they can recognize how others make them feel. But even better she taught them how to make themselves feel better when they get their feelings hurt. The students were so excited about the experiments and so engaged in the book and activity.

Classroom Drop-Ins

Submitted by alicia.rudd on

I love being a principal! Do you know why? It's because of the children and their wonderful teachers.  I love to drop-in on classes to see what they are doing and to share in their learning.  Today I dropped in on Mrs. Pulley's AM class who were practicing writing the number 2.  Mrs. Gallagher's class was writing in their journals about something they did this weekend.  One boy went camping, another was writing about the lightening storm, a little girl wrote about playing soccer.
