Brookside had an exciting visitor

Submitted by amber.hobbs on

Brookside was lucky to have Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company come perform April 25th. There was not a time that the students were not actively engaged. They had volunteers go up and dance with them on a couple of occasions. They also split the students in half and had them compete against each other. It was so much fun for the students. Many students went back to their classrooms and tried to do the exact same moves. Thank you so much for coming and putting on a show for our school.

Brookside Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Evans

Submitted by alicia.rudd on
Congratulations to Kathleen Evans for being chosen by her colleagues as Brookside's Teacher of the Year! Many of you have experienced Mrs. Evans classroom and found it to be a place of joyful learning. Students thrive in a literacy enriched environment by one of the our best. She reads aloud and discusses the classics and practices poetry and other forms of writing. The best things about Mrs. Evans in my opinion is her good heart. She loves and cares about every one of her students long after they've gone on to other grades. We are so proud of Mrs.

6th Grade Field Trip!

Submitted by amber.hobbs on

The sixth grade had the opportunity to go see Springville Junior High school's performance of the musical, "Crazy for You". We had a blast! It was so fun to see the musical, plus a couple kids and myself had siblings who were in the cast! The kids are getting excited for Junior High and this was an excellent opportunity to briefly see parts of the school. Quite a few of our sixth graders are excited for the opportunity to try out for the Junior High Musical next year!!Miss Stapel
