Third graders got the chance to study the life cycle of a mealworm and life cycle of a plant today. Thanksgiving Point brought meal worms, beetles, and plants for students to observe and study. Students got to dissect a tulip bulb and even got to build a class mealworm terrarium. Can’t wait for our beetles to emerge! Thank you, Thanksgiving Point!
We have an amazing school counselor here at Brookside, Ms. Andria Beckham. She works with our students and helps them in all kinds of ways. She comes into classrooms to teach a lesson each month, she works with groups of students to help them learn all kinds of life skills and she works individually with students.
Students in Miss Bradford’s class had tons of fun making weather vanes. They are in the middle of a weather unit in science.
Mrs. Tiffany Whitney is Brookside's Outstanding Classified Employee for 2022-2023. This is a special award because it is voted on by the staff. Mrs. Whitney is kind, helpful, cheerful and always willing to help. This is Tiffany's first year at Brookside and everyone here loves her. She jumped right into her position as our secretary. She is always busy and doing things to make our teacher's jobs easier. We can ask her anything and she doesn't know, she will do everything she can to find out and help.
We are lucky at Brookside to have wonderful technicians to work with our students. One such individual is Mrs. Tyralee Robinson. Mrs. Robinson joined Brookside three years ago and works with our cute little all day kindergarten students. She always has a smile on her face, a positive attitude and loves helping our students. We love having Mrs.
Last week our fifth graders went on a field trip to the BYU Women's basketball game. Every year BYU has a kids day and our fifth graders love to participate. They love watching the game. But their main goal is to get on the jumbotron during the dance breaks! They also got to take a couple of selfies with Cosmo. It was a fun field trip!
We are so proud of these amazing Tigers! They were hardworking and being kind to others!
We have an amazing psychologist at Brookside, Mrs. Erin Neth. She has been at Brookside for three years. She works with our students and helps them in all kinds of ways. She is amazing at what she does and we are lucky to have her at Brookside.
