It was the perfect day for a track meet. Not too hot and just a slight breeze. Our fourth graders enjoyed a day of great competition. We loved that these students cheered each other on and had fun in the sun!
2nd grade used cereal to make line plots this week! They came up with their own ideas and created their line plots by asking their classmates!

Dear Brookside Families,
Happy Friday! I hope you all have a great week and are heading into a wonderful weekend.
Here is a message from out PTA about Field Day:
We are so excited to have Field Day on Monday May 24th. We need several volunteers to help us run the different activities. Please see the link below to get details and sign up. Thank you!
Today we highlighted the following students for their praise worthy acts:
It was a beautiful day for a track meet. Our fifth graders enjoyed a day of great competition. We had a lot of students win their heats, but couldn’t pull out the time to make it to the finals. We are so proud of all the hard work from the fifth graders.
We are so proud of our fourth and fifth grade students for working so hard on their keyboarding skills. During their keyboarding class, they participated in a preliminary test to qualify for the district keyboarding competition. This looked different this year and students competed in their own school. Each student worked hard and did their very best.
Congratulations go to Annie Stewart, from Mrs. Gregory class, who placed 14th in the district in the fourth grade category.
