We are so happy to celebrate these students who went above and beyond this week to show their Tiger Pride. Janae Papa and JT Papa stopped to help another student, after school, to fix their bike chain. Jack Niu helped another student to finish his work. Anika Thompson helped Mrs. Petersen, her student teacher stay on schedule throughout the day.
Brookside's Outstanding Employee of the Year is Mrs. Sandra Lamb. This award is very well deserved. Mrs. Lamb works in our Reset Room. This is where students can go to reset. If they are struggling, having a hard day or need to calm down, they are sent to Mrs. Lamb who helps them reset and return to the classroom. Mrs.
Congratulations to these Tigers that received praise notes this week. Sadie Hereth helped cleaned the tables everyday this week in the cafeteria. Claire Hereth gave one of her BYU bracelets to a second grader who had lost theirs. Brielle Ballard always does her best work. Aubree Forbes helped Mrs. Bishop. Ayva Haglund always tries to be a good friend to classmates.
The Student Council wanted to get pied in the face. So, they started a fund raiser, Pack the Piggies. They asked the students of Brookside Elementary to bring in spare change and help them raise $1000 so they could get a pie in their face. Well, thanks to the charitable donations, they did it. And yesterday, to celebrate pi day, they got pied. They were excited and happy. We appreciate all the donations.
