This week, the students in Mrs. Hall’s class learned how magical science can be! We made a lava lamp, bouncy balls and pop rocks volcanoes!

We had our first, last ano only assembly if the year in Thursday. Stunt Master came and performed tricks for the students. They also talked about Spokes of Character including honesty and courage. It was a fun assembly.

Our Brookside students that are being recognized by their teachers as May Tiger's of the Month are:

Annie Stewart is positive and always willing to help others. She always does her best, Anika Thompson always does her best work. She is helpful and kind in class, Korver Esplin is a great problem solver.

Here’s a mix of my class and some other first graders making roller coasters. We’ve been talking about force and motion this week and using that to make roller coasters! 

Mrs. Hall’s class learned and force and motion and discovered items that roll and don’t roll. Balls and things with wheels roll but plastic animals, notebooks, blocks and feathers don’t! 

It was the perfect day for a track meet!  This was the third graders first track meet and they did amazing!  They worked hard, ran harder and cheered each other on.  Way to go third grade!

These students have earned the recognition and praise for being great students this week.
