I Am Thankful

Submitted by susan.bird on

Miss Harmon's Second grade class created a class thankful list. We got the idea from reading one of the books from our favorite series: Junie B. Jones. In Junie B. Jones: Turkeys we have loved and eaten (and other thankful stuff), Junie B.'s class made a class thankful list so we decided we needed to make one of our own too.

Over the last couple weeks, the first graders have been learning about bugs and insects. Today they had a special guest, Mike Whiting, who’s an entomologist come and visit. He brought his beetle and butterfly collection! The kids loved it and were so excited about every bug he had to show. Thank you Mike!!

Fifth Grade Wax Museum

Submitted by susan.bird on

On Monday, November 18, our fifth graders held their annual wax museum. The students did an amazing job and performed for the school and for parents. To prepare, the students read a biography about a famous American and took notes. Then they wrote and memorized a speech about their American. The students were also asked to create a poster about their American to hang on the wall behind them. Mrs. Smith, Miss White and Miss Bird (the fifth grade teachers) are so proud of all these fifth grade. The were amazing!!
